IIT JAM 2025 Eligibility:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree. Those who are in the final year of their qualifying degree in 2025 are also eligible to apply.

IIT JAM Apply for Admission:
- Candidates who qualify in the IIT JAM 2025 exam will be eligible to apply for admission to various postgraduate programs at IITs and IISc. These include M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), MS (Research), M.Sc.-M.Tech.

IIT JAM 2025 Selection Process:
- Entrance Exam: Candidates need to qualify in the IIT JAM 2025 exam with a valid All India Rank (AIR) in their respective subject.
- Announcement of Results: Results are declared on the official website with scores and ranks of the candidates.
- Admission Form Submission: Qualified candidates must fill out the admission form on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal, selecting their preferred programs and institutes.
- Seat Allotment Process: The seat allocation is done in multiple rounds based on the candidate's rank, preferences, and seat availability in different IITs and IISc.
- Acceptance of Offer: Candidates must confirm their acceptance by paying the admission fee and can opt to upgrade their preferences for subsequent rounds.
- Document Verification and Final Admission: Candidates must report to the allotted institute for document verification and complete the admission formalities.
IIT JAM 2025 Exam Pattern:
- Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted online.
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Number of Questions: 60 questions divided into three sections (A, B, and C).
- Total Marks: 100 marks.
- Sections and Question Types:
- Section A: 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 1/3 negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Section B: 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) with no negative marking.
- Section C: 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions with no negative marking.
- Subjects: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), and Physics (PH).
- Marking Scheme: Different marking schemes for each section, with a total of 100 marks for the entire paper.

Documents Required for IIT JAM 2025 Application Form :
- Photograph:
- A recent colored passport-sized photograph in JPEG format.
- Dimensions: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
- File size: Between 20 KB to 200 KB.
- Signature:
- Scanned image of the candidate's signature in black or dark blue ink on white paper.
- Format: JPEG.
- Dimensions: 2 cm x 7 cm.
- File size: Between 5 KB to 150 KB.
- Educational Qualification Certificate:
- For final-year candidates: Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute (in the prescribed format) stating no backlog.
- For candidates who have completed the degree: Degree certificate or provisional degree certificate.
- Category Certificate (if applicable):
- Valid SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS certificate in the prescribed format.
- Issued by a competent authority.
- PwD Certificate (if applicable):
- Valid PwD certificate issued by a competent authority.
- Nationality Certificate (for Foreign Candidates):
- Valid passport or equivalent document as proof of nationality.
- Other Documents:
- Any additional documents as required by the organizing institute.
