Total : 28 Post

Educational Qualification:

  1. Passed Class 10th from a recognized board; and
  2. Diploma (Three-year course) in Automobile Engineering awarded by an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government;
    or
    Diploma (Three-year course) in Mechanical Engineering; and
  3. Possession of a valid Driving License authorizing the driving of motorcycles with gear and light motor vehicles.

Note:

  1. Learning Driving License will not be considered valid.
  2. Candidates must attach a certificate showing that the institute issuing the diploma is recognized by the Central or State Government.
  3. Degrees/mark sheets related to allied subjects other than Diploma in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering will not be considered valid.

BPSC MVI Recruitment 2025 - Selection Process:

The written exam will consist of three papers:

(i) Paper 1 – General Studies 100 2:00 Hours Objective & Multiple Choice Questions from Matric level: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geography, History, Economics and Political Science. Also, questions on Indian Constitution, Five-Year Plans, Freedom Movement, and Current Affairs (like Scientific Progress, National/International Awards, Languages, Books, Scripts, Capitals, Currency, Sports & Players, Important Events, etc.)
(ii) Paper 2 – Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
(Candidate must choose one)
100 2:00 Hours Objective & Multiple Choice As per the syllabus prescribed by the Bihar State Board of Technical Education for Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering respectively.
(iii) Paper 3 – Motor Vehicle Rules and Acts 100 2:00 Hours Objective & Multiple Choice Bihar Motor Vehicle Rules, 1992; Motor Vehicles Act, 1988; and Central Motor Vehicle Rules.
