Short Information : The CISF Constable (Fireman) Written Examination consists of one objective-type test that covers four main sections. The detailed syllabus for each section is given below:.

Written Examination: Objective Type Test

Objective Type Test:

The written test is conducted in Offline Mode (OMR-based) and is objective type (multiple-choice questions). It comprises four sections:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Knowledge and General Awareness
  • Elementary Mathematics
  • English/Hindi Language

Each section carries equal weight, and the total time duration for the written test is 120 minutes (2 hours).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST):

  • 1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
    • Run: 5 km in 24 minutes (For candidates from Ladakh Region, 1 mile in 6 minutes 30 seconds)
    • 2. Physical Standard Test (PST)::
      • Height:
        • General, SC, and OBC candidates: 170 cm
        • ST candidates: 162.5 cm
            • Chest :
              • General, SC, and OBC candidates: 80-85 cm (Minimum expansion 5 cm)
              • ST candidates: 76-81 cm (Minimum expansion 5 cm)

Important Points to Note:

  • Negative Marking : There is no negative marking in the written examination
  • Cut-Off Marks: : Candidates need to score above the cut-off marks, which vary based on categories (General, OBC, SC/ST) and other factors such as the difficulty level of the exam.
